What sort of jobs count as general building?
Repairs, alterations, structural openings, brickwork, carpentry, tiling, roof repairs and smaller improvement work. If you are unsure, send a few details and we will tell you if it is something we can take on.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. For most jobs we will visit first so we can be accurate on access, condition and what is involved.
How do you handle changes once work has started?
Any changes are discussed first, clearly priced, and agreed before we proceed. That way there are no surprises.
Will I have one main point of contact?
Yes. You deal directly with the people running the job, so communication stays clear and decisions are dealt with quickly.
Yes. We carry full public liability and employer’s liability insurance, so your home and everyone on site is properly covered.
How quickly can you start?
It depends on current workload and the size of the job. Once we know what you need doing and where you are, we can give you a realistic start date.
Do you take on small jobs as well as larger work?
Yes. We do smaller repairs and improvements as well as bigger projects, as long as the work can be planned properly and carried out to a good standard.
Can you help diagnose the cause of an issue, like damp or cracking?
Yes. We will look at what is causing the problem where possible and explain the options. If a specialist report is needed, we will tell you upfront.
Do you supply materials, or can I supply them?
Either is fine. We can supply materials for consistency and scheduling, or work with materials you have already chosen, as long as they are suitable for the job.
How do you keep disruption to a minimum?
We plan access, keep the site tidy, protect existing areas and communicate clearly about what is happening each day, so the work fits around your home as much as possible.
